The playlists were created by pupils from St. John’s HS and the headsets donated by ArabTRUST. United fans donated both mp3 players and cash at a recent home and this was pooled with a donation from a Dundee United supporting family to allow further purchase of equipment to ensure the success of this project.
Playlist for life aims to connect to people and allow people to reconnect with their identity through the use of music.

CD and mp3 player collection 24 February 2017 NEWS
Pupils from St John`s HS will be seeking donations of no longer used CD and mp3 players from Dundee United fans at the home game v Morton on 25th of February in support of the Playlist for Life Project.
Working in partnership with United for All and DUFC, the pupils have already visited St Joseph’s Care Home, Wellburn, Lochee and have started the process of creating playlists for the residents. ArabTRUST have kindly donated £200 towards the cost of giving the residents (many of whom are dementia suffers) a pair of individual headphones.
On the day of the Morton game, collection bins will be located at the approaches to both the George Fox and Eddie Thompson stands manned by pupils and staff between 2pm and 3pm. The school will then sort through what has been collected and will go to the Care Home next month to present the head phones and suitable CD/mp3 players along with the play lists sourced at the first visit.
Playlist For Life is a national project and more info can be found here.
