United for All are hiring for a Part-Time Project Coordinator to oversee and grow our adult activity programme.  The post is temporary for an initial period of 12 weeks and its continuation is subject to funding and the success of the post holder.  The successful candidate will initially oversee and deliver our Walking Football sessions for over 50s as well as introducing new sessions in other sports.  This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person and there is scope for the post to grow to a full-time position over time.

Jamie formerly worked as Community Development Director for Warriors in the Community at Stenhousemuir and brings a wealth of experience to this role.

Job Description:

Assist the trustees of the UfA Charity to raise funding and manage the development of community opportunities in and around the Dundee area that encourage participation in sport, education and health and wellbeing activities.

About us: The UfA Community Trust supports community sports, education, health and charitable activities in conjunction with Dundee United Football Co. Ltd. This objective is deliberately relatively wide in order that the Trust can take every available opportunity to deliver activities and services within the local Dundee communities.

The Trust aims to identify opportunities to deliver community services, match these objectives with any grant funding that is known to be available, apply and successfully achieve the grant aid, then implement and monitor the delivery of the service.  

The UfA Community Trust will seek grant aid from other charities both local and national, including national funding bodies such as Big Lottery Fund.

 Your role: As a fundraiser you will be responsible for attracting funding from a range of sources to develop a variety of community projects that uses the Dundee United brand. The aim will be to motivate and encourage a wide range of participation from the city’s community and its surrounding areas.

What you’ll need: You must have the skill set to successfully fundraise, deliver and develop a programme of community projects that encourage participation by all in sport, education, health and well being activities.

You must have the ability to build and manage effective relationships with all partners, including the UfA trustees and representatives of Dundee United.

You will also manage and motivate individuals who will assist with the delivery of these events.  You will be educated to degree level or equivalent level of experience and have a good understanding of the principles of excellent customer care, relationship management and the accountabilities of a charity to its donors, supporters and volunteers.

A good understanding of fundraising, business development, project planning and management techniques are also required in addition to excellent budgeting, numeracy and planning skills.  The successful applicant will be highly motivated, have excellent attention to detail with a creative and pro-active approach.

Essential attributes include:

·       A self-starter with a pro-active approach to fundraising and project management

·       Experience of motivating and managing others

·       Well organised with the ability to plan and prioritise a busy workload

·       Full Driving Licence and access to a car

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·       Excellent presentation skills

·       Competent use of IT

·       Excellent numeracy and budgeting skills
